How quickly do the products work?
The cooling products work immediately after you have followed the instructions to wet, wring and shake. Your dog or horse will receive immediate benefits.
How long do the products stay cool?
The product can stay wet/cool for up to 45 minutes but this is a very conservative estimate. In most cases the products stay cool for several hours.
The length of time is dependent on weather factors. For example, when there is airflow such as travelling in a car or horsebox/trailer the products can stay cooler for much longer. In some instances, customers have reported leaving horse rugs in their lorry while at a show and they are still cool enough at the end of the day to put back on to travel their horses home.
How long should the products stay in the freezer?
We recommend placing dog and horse wraps in a carrier bag first and to freeze for up to 1 hour. Alternatively, you can immerse them in iced water if you are away from home.
How long should I use wraps if icing?
The recommended time for leg /hock icing is 10 minutes but please consult your vet for longer periods.
